Free CWI practice resources: ours and AWS's

You can start CWI practice today without paying anything. This page lists what's free on Fillet Gauge and what's free from AWS, so you can build a no-cost routine for Parts A, B and C and see where it runs out. Start with the free 10-question check for your part, because it tells you which of the resources below to use first.

A free routine for each part

  1. Take the free check for your first part and note your weakest domains.
  2. Part A: cycle the flashcards and quizzes daily, then work the formula sheet with the calculators.
  3. Part B: download the Book of Specifications, then use the gauge trainer and the WPS review drill with it open.
  4. Part C: run the navigation drill against your copy of D1.1 and time every lookup.
  5. Retake the check and see which domain moved.

What free practice doesn't cover

  • A full-length timed exam. The free checks are 10 questions. A part runs 165 questions in 135 minutes for A, 46 in 120 for B and 55 in 135 for C, and pacing is its own skill.
  • A deep bank. The Fillet Gauge course holds 704 original practice questions for Part A, 338 for Part B and 365 for Part C (D1.1), each with a worked explanation and its reference.
  • Timed practice exams. The course has 2 timed exams at real length for Part A, 3 for Part B and 2 for Part C.
  • A plan that follows your misses. The course reshuffles your questions toward your weakest domain.

Never use "real question" PDFs. You sign a Candidate Attestation Agreement before each part, and every Fillet Gauge question is original.
